It was a crisp and clear day at Fitzroy Falls Reservoir with a light SE breeze across smooth water.
The club’s youngest ever skipper Paige Magee sailed into second place on handicap in round two with her father Jason.
Jason crewed and pulled the ropes on their Windrush 14 catamaran.
A fast-finishing Greg Yalg on his Hydra 16 catamaran won by just three seconds from the Magees.
Greg has now hit the front on points for the first time in the Commodore’s Cup.
There are only two races left to decide who will be the winner of the 2018 Cup.
Only 4.5 points separate the top five potential winners.
A maximum six points are up for grabs so a nail-biting finish may be assured.
The SHSC competition will continue this weekend at Fitzroy Falls Reservoir.
