The 10-month replacement program will involve the upgrade and replacement of water mains, water meters, sewer mains and manholes in Moss Vale, Bowral, Mittagong, Welby, Colo Vale, Willow Vale and Burradoo.
Specialist contractor Carve Earthworks and Construction Pty Ltd will undertake the replacement program on behalf of Wingecarribee Shire Council. Should the contractor require entry into a property, letters will be issued to the homeowner prior.
Contractors will also carry identification at all times.
Some works will inevitably involve the digging up of old pipes and the laying of new ones.
Where possible council will try to minimise any impact by using trenchless pipe laying technology. Where this is not possible or impractical, steps will be taken to inform nearby residents and minimise any impact, noise or traffic interruptions
Works are part of Council’s regular Capital Works Improvement Program and are expected to be complete by February 2019.
All timeframes are subject to weather conditions.
