Four servicemen will be honoured with a paver on the Memorial Walkway at Colo Vale as part of the community’s 2018 Anzac Day activities.

These include Private Colin Charles Lowe (Army) – 2/19 Btn; Private Harold Thomas Davis (Army) – 13 Bn Vol Def Corp; Private Jack Mcintyre Hanna (Army) – 4 Lt Fld Amb; Stoker Petty Officer Reginald Clarence – Rodwell (Navy) HMAS Warramunga.
The Colo Vale Community Association will hold its Anzac Day Service at 8.00am at the Memorial, 28 Railway Avenue, Colo Vale, on April 25.
The RSL Rural Commemorative Youth Choir will be performing, led by musical director O. J. Rushton. The Southern Highlands Squadron cadets of the Australian Air League will also help out.
A gold coin donation at breakfast would be appreciated for these cadets.
There will also be a Dedication of the Plaque commemorating the 1915 Kangaroo Recruitment March.
The plaque was recently delivered to the Colo Vale Community Association by Angela Williamson from the Kangaroo March Centenary Re-enactment Association.
After the service, Bunnings will supply free breakfast of bacon and eggs, and in the hall coffee/tea will be available with homemade Anzac biscuits.
