It’s hard to believe we are midway through autumn when temperatures in the mid-to-late 20s and even in the 30s have been enjoyed in the Highlands over the past six weeks. However, foliage on many trees in the region have been true to their stunning seasonal form.
The earthy hues of gold and red that have become commonplace on many trees across the Highlands may be the only true signs of the season.
The colourful showcase has not been lost on keen photographer Matt Hiser who snapped this stunning autumn vision.
