The team was crowned the Baking Association of Australia’s NSW champions after the bakers won the champion loaf of the show and the champion wholemeal loaf.
They also received the most successful bread exhibitor award and won nine first-place trophies as well as the Arthur Denision perpetual trophy.
Over 140 entries were received from bakers across the state.
Bakers Delight Bowral and Mittagong owners Geoff and Jo Harrington were delighted to receive the trophies.
They said they were fortunate to have a team that was passionate about baking high-quality products.
“Each day we bake everything from scratch and respect a time-honoured process that requires a high level of trade skill,” they said.
“Experienced, professional judges travel throughout Australia assessing products at these industry events and they set a very high standard in their judging criteria.
“To win these awards against so many bakeries in New South Wales is a wonderful honour.”
Baking Association of Australia executive director Tony Smith said he was thrilled with the level of competition and congratulated the Highlands winners on their excellent results.
“These awards showcase the talent that exists in the baking industry and seeing such a strong result from Bakers Delight Bowral and Mittagong is to be congratulated,” he said.
