The next meeting of the Southern Highlands Parkinson's Support Group will be held on April 17 at 10.00am in the Springs Room at the Mittagong RSL. The guest speaker will be Bishan Rowjee from Bowral Amcal Pharmacy talking about medical interactions and what we can or cannot take with our medications to avoid any problems. Fashion parade
Moss Vale Hospital Auxiliary will hold a fashion parade from 1.30pm on April 16. This will be held at the Moss Vale Senior Citizens’ Centre in Queen Street, Moss Vale. Fashions will be supplied by Millers in Bowral. Entry is $8 which includes afternoon tea and lots of fun. A raffle will also be run on the day. All funds raised will go towards the purchase of equipment and programs for Bowral and District Hospital. Pay at the door.
Can Assist fundraiser
Bowral Women’s Bowling Club will put fashion on show in support of Can Assist. The club’s annual fashion parade and luncheon will be held on April 20 at Club Bowral in Shepherd Street, Bowral, from 11am for a 11.30am start. Clothes will be supplied by FellaHamilton. Tickets are $25 and bookings can be made by calling Alison Pryce on 4861 2445 or Elizabeth Hall on 4862 2695.
Bushwalk
Southern Highlands Bushwalkers Inc will head to Kangaroo Valley for ther next adventure. They will stride out on the Sphinx Track and Pyramid – the ruins fire trail in Kangaroo Valley. This is a moderate walk along the ridge top which features Burrawang Palms and weathered rock formations, some off track and part exploratory, to views over Ettrema Wilderness. Seniors' Club
Mittagong Seniors’ Club meets each Tuesday and Thursday from 9am to 2.30pm at the Community Centre in Queen Street, Mittagong. Come for morning tea at 10am to learn more. The group offers a variety of activities including craft, games, ukulele and various outings.
