Hume Coal donate equipment to Berrima RFS

Berrima Rural Fire Service now has a few more tools at its disposal.

Hume Coal donated a backpack blower and specialised firefighting nozzle to the team.

Project Director Greig Duncan said the Rural Fire Service provided critical services to the community all year round, responding to traffic accidents, firefighting and attending many other emergency situations.

“It was surprising to learn how much the brigade relies on community support and fundraising for their equipment, and it was a honour to supply these items to Berrima brigade,” he said.

Mr Duncan said the company was extremely grateful for the hard work put in by the skilled volunteers, and looked forward to strengthening the relationship with the Berrima branch of the RFS.
