A survey on playgrounds in the Highlands is now open.
Council’s parks and properties asset officer, Kylie Stefaniuk, said council playgrounds were an essential piece of community infrastructure.
“Playgrounds are essential for children’s physical and social development and have the ability to enhance community wellbeing,” she said.
“We want to hear how residents currently use our shire’s playgrounds as well as their thoughts on how they could be improved to better meet their family’s needs.”
Feedback will assist in the preparation of a playground strategy aimed at improving the quality, access, safety and distribution of playgrounds within the Wingecarribee Shire.
Visit www.yoursaywingecarribee.com.au/play to complete the online survey which closes on Sunday, February 18.
“We encourage as many people as possible to complete the survey because the more responses we receive the more accurate and comprehensive our strategy will be,” Ms Stefaniuk said.
