Benson has achieved outstanding success in his chosen sport of archery at the Eurobodalla Zone Field event last year.
The competition involved shooting three dimensional targets over varying distances.
Benson competed in and won the Men’s A Grade Freestyle Unlimited. He scored an impressive 1052 points on day one. His lead over the next competitor increased from 66 to 90 on day two.
Benson’s achievement follows success at the Australian Masters Games in October last year, where he won several rounds at the competiton.
He came second in the world archery round, and third in the national field round. The competition was close in the national field round, as Grahame was only two points behind the second place winner. Benson and his wife Diann train together firing over 100 arrows each week.
