Wingello is for a very famous connection – it was where champion bowler Bill O’Reilly played in the local cricket team. The Wingello oval is the Bill O’Reilly oval.
More on the history of the hall and oval will be on show during the centenary celebration and through a book, Glimpses of Wingello, to be launched on the day.
A celebratory dinner will begin at 6.30pm followed by a show by the Paddy’s River Band. The cost of the dinner and show is $40 per person.
