While most people were at home on December 25 opening presents, hanging out with family and preparing the Christmas lunch a group of generous volunteers were celebrating at the animal shelter.
In fact, 10 volunteers took time out from their family festivities to walk the dogs and give them some extra special Christmas love.
One of the volunteers, Debbie Skinner of Moss Vale, said both dogs and walkers found it a great way to start the celebrations of the season.
The Christmas morning walk with the pooches was followed up with a few snacks and a champagne and orange juice toast to the special get-together at the shelter.
