In a game that saw the two top B grade teams meet, Horton's Heroes turned up with their A game and were never in danger. They built their score steadily throughout the four quarters. Pacific turned over too many possessions to be dangerous. Bottlenose had a good 8-2 win over Mighty Mariners. This was a similar type of game, with Bottlenose building a winning score at the rate of two goals a quarter.
In A grade Mariners had an 11-7 win over Sharks. Mariners had a full team, while Sharks were playing one player down. In the final quarter they got to 7-8 before Mariners were jolted into a late scoring spree to pull away for the 11-7 win.
Polar Bears played their best game of the season, as the team recorded a 4-2 win over competition pace setters Dolphins. Polar Bears built up a 3-0 lead, scoring a goal in each of the first three quarters. Polar Bears defence was the best it has been so far this season but a lapse going into the final quarter saw Dolphins score two quick goals, to be right back in the game at 2-3. Polar Bears steadied, scoring again and then holding on for their first win of the season.
