The tournament has run for the past five years, with more than 1000 young people taking part this year.
Three sports are open to players- rugby league (under-16), futsal (under-14) and netball (under-14)- with clubs needing both a male and female team to take part.
Club manager Krischan Keller said the original concept behind the tournament was reconciliation and improving the relationship between police and Indigenous communities.
Teams can be made up of Indigenous (70 per cent) and non Indigenous (30 per cent) players.
Along with players, coaches, managers and volunteers will be needed for next year’s event which will take place mid next year at Newcastle.
Mr Keller said he had already approached several sporting clubs in the Highlands.
“They can be involved by just providing us with a list of players or have one of their coaches run [a team],” he said. “Their involvement is completely up to them. If they’re helping us, we would like to help them.”
Players also get to design their jersey with the local elder.
Registrations will need to be complete early next year and Mr Keller said anyone interested could contact him at the club on 4868 5200.
