The Wollondilly Wanderers branch of the Ulysses Club will once again bring some Christmas cheer to Highlanders who are doing it tough.
Since 2013, the Wanderers have had a Christmas ride through the Highlands to help the Highlands Community Centres.
The ride will leave from Mittagong RSL about 10am on Saturday (December 9).
Wanderers member Ian Keeley said everything they collected on the day would be donated to the Highlands Community Centres.
“Donate whatever you can. It’s about trying to help people that are doing it tough,” he said.
“If you’ve only got one dollar, there’s someone else out there who would really appreciate that dollar. It’s about making people happy at Christmas.”
There will be plenty to see for both young and old to see and some friendly competition with prizes to be awarded for best dressed bike, bike with trailer or trike.
Anyone who cannot take part in the ride can still enjoy watching the convoy as it makes its way through Bowral, Moss Vale and Berrima led by Santa and his helpers.
Donations of grocery vouchers, and unwrapped gifts will be welcome.
Last year’s ride helped fund the Joining In program (paying fees for sport) and provided much needed food vouchers for emergency situations.
A sausage sizzle will be held at the completion of the ride at Mittagong RSL.
