On song for Christmas
What a great way to get into the Christmas spirit! A nativity procession, concert and fireworks will be on offer at the Bowral Family Carols at Bradman Oval, on December 7. The good news in the Bureau of Statistics has forecast a mostly sunny day with a maximum temperature of 25 in the Highlands. That should be music to the ears of anyone keen to join in this evening of carols. Head down to Bradman Oval to set up a picnic space from 5.30pm. The fireworks will kick off at 8.45pm. It goes both ways
Perhaps it’s time for sign posts to indicate that traffic flows both ways on the Merrigang Street access to Lamond Lane, Bowral. While it is only a short section of access road it seems the rules go out the window.
Pedestrians walk down the centre like it is a pathway, and cars from both directions drive on it as if it were a one-way street.
This can pose particularly problems at the entrance to Merrigang Street when a vehicle sits in the centre of the lane before exiting. This blocks incoming traffic and in turn causes a build up of traffic on Merrigang Street – often banked back to the traffic lights causing further congestion at that point.
