The photographic gems from Japan continue with this week’s through your lens. Highlander Julie Lawless said she had fallen in love with the stunning sights in Japan and it is not surprising if her holiday snaps are any indication. She snapped this picture of Kinkakuji, commonly known as the Golden Pavillion at Kyoto. It is a Zen temple with two floors covered entirely in thin layers of pure gold and detailed architecture incorporating three styles of Shinden, Samurai and Zen. The happy traveller said she couldn’t think of one negative thing about Japan and recommended everyone consider it as holiday destination.
