Two junior Bowral Blues sides now hold the number one and two spots on the HDCA junior/under 14s competition ladder at the end of round seven. The Bowral Blues ‘Royals’ went head to head with the Oxley Thunder at Centennial Park on Saturday. Batting first, the Royals raced ahead with runs, thanks to Liam Bayliss who smashed five fours and two sixes to retire on 35 not out. Not to be outdone, brother Mitch Bayliss stared down the bowling attack with 32 not out, including four fours and a six. This positioned the team for a batting total of 7/156 at the end of the 30-over innings.
