Four Bowral Little Athletics Club members secured a win and broke a state record at the Little Athletics NSW State Relays Championships at Sydney Olympic Park on the weekend.

Bohdi Lee-Billinghurst, Benji Lee-Billinghurst, Charlotte Withers and Pearl Stravoskoufis took out gold in the mixed junior long jump event.

Their combined total of 2576 points broke the NSW record, which was previously set by Prestons Robins in 2010. Entry for these events was reserved for Little Athletics centres with up to 200 registered athletes.

At the same meet, Bowral’s 4x100 metre relay team of Bela Seville, Matthew Arregui, Ruby Blake and Toby Pryor ran a close fourth in their event.

Bowral athletes will now turn their attention to their zone championships this weekend in Wollongong.

The club will be represented by 43 junior athletes.

Athletes will be vying for qualification for their regional championships in February.
