Bowral Swimming Centre has been temporarily closed due to a mechanical plant failure.
Wingecarribee Shire Council advised that water quality could not be guaranteed until the fault is repaired.
Staff and contractors are currently in attendance tending to the issue which will require custom-machining of pipework.
Once the repair works are complete council staff will require time to bring the water quality back to required standards.
The timeframe for the repairs are subject to availability of specialist contractors. As a result Council expects the pool to remain closed into late next week.
Council apologised for any inconvenience and will issue a follow-up alert as soon as the issue has been rectified.
Council reminded swimmers that the Moss Vale War Memorial Aquatic Centre is open as per normal trading hours.
