And this week, members of the National Trust Southern Highlands branch took a look back in time.
What proved to be a popular tour of historic inns in the Southern Highlands was held.
Sixty members and guests visited The Briars, the Surveyor General Inn and Fitzroy Inn
At each of the inns heritage consultant Sarah Farnese gave an introductory talk about the inns, their landlords over the years and who built them.
This was very much enjoyed by those on the tour.
Sarah also prepared an historic drive of the Southern Highlands to fill in some of the places, people and history between the inns.
