Students, teachers and parents will take part in a School Colour Run to raise money for resources such as classroom equipment.
Emergency services and community groups will also be in attendance including Police NSW, Avoca Rural Fire Service and Surf Lifesaving NSW.
Avoca Public School administration manager Sarah Daniels said the event was a first for the school. “We have chosen this style of school fundraising as it has been one of the most successful school fundraisers currently in Australia,” Mrs Daniels said. “The advantage of this type of fundraising is that it brings communities together, promotes wellbeing, a healthy lifestyle and fitness and improves school life by raising much needed funding in a fun and educational environment.”
