Keen photographer Boris Zemljacenko captured proof of this recently with a snap of a misty morning sunrise in the Highlands.
This early morning photo opportunity presented itself at East Bowral.
The break of dawn against a setting of fog and leafless trees provide eerie but intriquingh scene.
Fog is caused by cold air passing over warmer water or moist land and there is no shortage of that in the Highlands at this time of the year. Fog is made up of condensed water droplets.
