The concerts will be held on June 17 at 7.30pm and June 18 at 2.30pm.
In addition to the melodies of the Franck symphony the SHSO will presentis pleased to present Alfred Hill’s “A Sunset Fantasy” and Beethoven’s “Overture to Fidelio”.
Of special significance on the program is recognition of the contributions to 18th century music made by Telemann on the 250th anniversary of his death in 1767 with a performance of his Viola Concerto by the SHSO’s own Principal Violist, Dr Tim Senior.
