The second Music in the Gardens event will be held at the Southern Highlands Botanic Gardens, filled with local talent.
Organiser Julie Blanchard said the inaugural event’s success in 2016 had inspired her to organise more music for 2017.
“I’ve brought together musicians and groups, featuring mostly singing, but we have a string orchestra and some drummers as well,” she said.
“I think music lifts people’s spirits, so everyone should come along for a few happy hours.”
Featured musicians include SHACapella, Three for Tea, One Note Longer from Moss Vale High School, Oxley College String Orchestra, Wuka Plukas, Women of Note, Daisy Chain and the Bowral Drum Ensemble.
The family-friendly event will be held under a large marquee at the Bowral gardens.
“You’ll be surrounded by the gardens growing, which is a great place for children to play,” Ms Blanchard said.
“It’s really lovely to have anything outdoors.”
Food and coffee will be available to purchase from Bowral’s Coffee Culture, and BDCU Alliance Bank employees will provide a free sausage sizzle for lunch.
The event is being held as part of the Botanic Gardens Australia New Zealand open day.
Entry is a gold coin donation, so come down to the Southern Highlands Botanic Gardens on May 28 from 11.00am to 1.00pm.
The garden is located on the corner of Old South Road and Kangaloon Road, Bowral.
