Wesley LifeForce members will teach participants how to identify the warning signs that someone may be at risk of suicide with methods informed by the latest research in suicide prevention.
They will also teach participants:
- how to understand risk and protective factors
- learn how to ask directly about suicide intent
- gain understanding of local and national support, and what resources are available to support a person at risk
- learn simple interventions that can make a difference and save lives
The free workshop will be held May 29 from 9.00am to 1.30pm at the Henrietta Rose Room, behind the Old Town Hall on Bendooley Street, Bowral.
