Wollondilly Polocrosse Club travelled to Bungendore for the Canberra Royals Carnival last weekend.

The carnival was used as a platform to raise money for Breast Cancer Network Australia and Ovarian Cancer Australia which meant women at the competition weekend were placed into teams made up of people from all different clubs.
Wollondilly had five women play in the competition in different grades.
In the A grade women's competition, Kaitlyn Smith played in a team called the Quickeze QT's 1.
This competition was a round robin, highly competitive games were on show all weekend. At the end, Kaitlyn's team were Winners of the A grade competition.
In the B grade women's competition, Bec Eccleston played in a the Quickeze Blazers 2.
The Quickeze Blazers 2 made it into the finals but lost by one goal in extra time against the Cappello Crushers 2.
Bridget Allan, Victoria Geddes and Jayden Haertsch played in the C grade women's competition.
Unfortunately, Victoria's team did not make it into the finals.
Bridget's team, Cappello Crushers 3, came up against Jayden's team the Quickeze QT's 3 in the final on Sunday.
Bridget's team ended up winning the comp with Jayden's team finishing as runners up.
Wollondilly women’s captain Bec Eccleston said the weekend was a great experience.
“Everyone played so well with their new teams for the weekend and all embraced the chance to play under the different circumstances,” she said.
Wollondilly entered a men's team into the B grade competition.
Wollondilly won against Milton in a close game.
The B grade competition was a round robin and went to a count back.
Asa result Wollondilly were awarded B grade winners.
“Wollondilly had a very enjoyable weekend, with so many people playing in different teams it was hard to keep up. Everyone played so well,” Eccleston said.
At the presentation Bec Eccleston received best B grade female and Damian Baxter was awarded best B grade male.
