The World’s Greatest Shave is back, and two Highlanders have already put up their hands to go under the scissors.
Hill Top seven-year-old Kirsten James will be losing more than 30cm of hair, which will be donated to Ascot Wigmakers.
Her mother Catherine James said her daughter had already smashed her fundraising goals.
“She originally wanted to raise $560, then we had to raise it to $1000, everyone has been so supportive,” she said.
“I’ve had mothers giving me cash donations when we’re picking up our children, it’s been fantastic.”
Bam-Leigh Regan, aged 10 from Bowral, will be shaving his head in support of his friend who has been diagnosed with leukaemia.
A Greatest Shave event will be held at Highlands Marketplace, Mittagong, on March 18. Come down between 9.00am and 2.00pm to have your head shaved, hair coloured, face painted and buy raffle tickets.
