Three outdoor swimming centres are open at the moment in Bundanoon, Moss Vale and Bowral.
Bowral Swiming Centre is open from 6.00am until 6.00pm from Monday to Friday. On the weekend, the gates are open from 8.30am until 6.00pm on Saturdays, and 9.30am to 6.00pm on Sundays.
Council announced on February 10 that opening hours for the Bowral pool would be extended on days forecast to be more than 35 degrees. It will stay open until 7.00pm, granted the pools are not already being utilised by Swim Club or a casual booking.
The pool is located at 152 Mittagong Road, Bowral, and its season will end March 26. Call 4861 2598 for further details.
Bundanoon Swimming Centre is an option for those living in the southern villages. The pool is open from 6.00am to 6.00pm on Monday and Wednesday, and 10.00am to 6.00pm on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.
Bundanoon Swimming Centre is located at 70 Erith Street Bundanoon, and its season will end March 5. Call 4883 6464 for more information.
The Moss Vale War Memorial Aquatic Centre is the third option for swimming fun for the rest of summer.
The pool is open from 6.00am to 8.00pm Monday to Friday, 8.00am to 5.00pm on Saturdays and 9.00am to 5.00pm on Sundays.
The pool is located 8 Kirkham St, Moss Vale, and is open all year. Call 4868 1967 for more details.
Unfortunately Mittagong Swimming Centre suffered significant structural damage as a result of flooding through the site during the rainfall event in June, 2016. The pool is not open for the 2016/17 pool season.
All outdoor pools are heated to 24 degrees, and admission costs $4 for adults, $3 for children and concession, $1.60 for spectators and children under three enter for free.
