Rehearsals for The Highland Singers have begun for 2017 in the Baptist Church Hall in Merrigang Street, Bowral.

The group meets from 1pm to 3pm on Mondays, followed by afternoon tea.

The choir is a friendly group and always welcomes more singers to join it.

The group’s accompanist is music maestro Geoff Harvey, who provides great encouragement with the group’s singing.

No audition is required, and while ability to read music would be helpful it is not essential to join the group.

The Highlands Singers hold two concerts a year and visit local nursing homes each month.

Next year, the singers will celebrate 30 years of providing entertainment to Highlands audiences.
