Council road works begin in Hill Top this January

Road improvements across the Highlands continue, with Hill Top the latest place to be smoothed over.

Council has advised road construction works will begin on Stanley Street, Hill Top from late January.

Residents of Stanley Street will be individually contacted with further details including confirmed work times.

Works will involve a full reconstruction of the road followed by a bitumen seal.

During construction, sections of the road may be temporarily reduced to one-way traffic, however the road will remain open to immediate residents and through traffic.

Road users are cautioned to follow the changed traffic conditions, exercise care when traveling through the work zones and be aware of loose stones and heavy machinery within the work areas.

Motorists are also reminded to heed the directions of the onsite traffic controllers and be aware of the temporary change to the work zone speed limits.

Council thanked motorists in advance for their cooperation and apologised for any temporary delays or inconvenience.

The project is scheduled to be completed by late February, dependant on weather conditions. For further information contact Pratik Khadka from Council’s Infrastructure Services Branch on 4868 0782.
