The fifth annual Kumho Tyres Pink Fitters Day was held last Friday to raise funds for The McGrath Foundation and Bowral Tyrepower once again joined the cause.
The day raised awareness and helped provide financial support for the 100 McGrath Breast Care Nurses who work across Australia and help support more than 25,000 families.
The foundation aims to fund 150 nurses so every person dealing with breast cancer has access to optimal care and support.
Bowral Tyrepower manager Ian MacRae said the cause was personal for him.
"It means a lot to us because my mum had breast cancer," Mr MacRae said.
"It's for a good cause and we have supported it for several years now."
Every staff member on site donned bright pink shirts with pride while they worked on the day.
Australian television personality Kerri-Anne Kennerley came on board for the second year running as the Pink Fitters Day ambassador.
"The event breaks down walls across regional Australia by putting breast cancer support on the agenda for local communities," Ms Kennerley said.
"It's not often some of the nation's most burly men wear pink."
To raise funds, Bowral Tyrepower has been selling pink valve caps and pink shirts, with all proceeds being donated to The McGrath Foundation.
