On March 28, at Cronulla Sharks Leagues Club, Nikita placed highly in the esteemed event.
Pageant Organiser Felice Colarusso said: "We were very happy with Nikita."
"She improved in each of the three rehearsals and came out in the final as runner-up."
Nikita "got confident and blossomed in the Miss Sydney pageant" he said.
With judging categories including 'Interview Award', 'Style and Elegance Award' and 'Healthy Body Award' the demands were high and Nikita proved she has what it takes to make it in the world of sashes, gowns and poise.
"The purpose of the event is to introduce young women into the world of pageants and modelling by making them run through what is expected" Mr Colarusso said.
Only in its second year, the Miss Sydney Australia competition isn't just an introduction to pageants, it is fast becoming a launching pad for skills and opportunities, especially in the modelling industry.
"Nikita also did very well to secure a look into the Scoop Modelling agency which is part of the prestigious Chic Models agency, the best in Australia and number five in the world" said Mr Colarusso.
The competition also encourages the development of social skills such as self confidence and volunteering in local communities.
It's fair to say that Nikita is a great asset to her community, because as Mr Colarusso said "It's good to have representation from the Highlands and she should be very proud of her recent achievements."
