Forklift Mechanic

Our client has been keeping the wheels of industry turning, on the Gold Coast and surrounding areas for over 35 years. They can now boast to being the largest forklift company to have their Head Office and Workshop located on the Gold Coast.

Being an independent, privately owned company gives them the flexibility to have a large selection of forklifts available from the very big to the very small covering all major brands and models and prices to suit all budgets. Not only do they service and supply forklifts, but they also carry other products and machinery that help increase the productivity and profitability of any company.

They are looking to add Forklift Mechanics to the team. These roles are an ASAP start, working Monday to Friday 7am to 3.30pm - with loads of over time available. This company really values and looks after their employees, offering flexibility, no micro-management and a workplace where you aren't just a number - but a valued team member.

Successful candidates can chose to be based at Yatala or Nerang. These roles will involve some travel if you are keen - as the company has clients from Cairns to Melbourne.

Main duties and responsibilities

• Inspect, review, diagnose and determine faults
• Conduct safety and function checks
• Perform routine maintenance
• Deliver a professional level of service
• Maintain an accurate record of performed work

Position Essentials:

• The position Good all-round knowledge of Mechanical & Electrical, LPG/Diesel motors
• Previous experience within the Forklift industry is preferred
• Assertiveness, tenacity with a demonstratable sense of urgency, determination, and resilience.
• Valid QLD Driver's License.
• Mechanical Trade Certificate
• Strong customer service focus and dedicated work ethic
• A mature attitude and logical and methodical approach to your work which will enable you to work through problems in both a workshop and field environment
