Welcome to your new-look website

Some of the exciting new features include:
  • Bigger, better images to showcase our beautiful photography
  • A design that changes to fit desktop computers, mobile and tablet screens, no matter their size
  • Easier navigation
  • Better ways to comment on stories and engage with other readers
  • More world and national articles, while still keeping a strong focus on the local news that matters to you

… and there are many more features to come.

Because we’re still working on the design and functionality, we want you to send us your feedback on what you like and what you don’t.

FAQ

Thanks for all of your comments and suggestions. We're going to answer some of the most frequently asked questions here.

Classifieds, weather and other sections look like the old site, why is this?

Several sections of the website, including classifieds, weather, jobs, and others are still running on the old website, and will temporarily appear in the old format until we've finished working on their new layout.

What does the sign-in toolbar mean/do?

The sign-in part of the toolbar is intended for new functions such as the ability to save articles to read it later, view all your comments, and customise your website settings. It is not yet functional, but will be soon.

Where is the comment section?

The comment section will only show up beneath a story if it is open to comments. We will update the design to give greater visibility to articles with comments in the near future.

Where is the sudoku?

It is here.
