Steel City Strings is back with an exciting program of Australian music, including the highly anticipated World Premiere of 'Cinque Forme d'Amore' ('Five Kinds of Love') by Elena Kats-Chernin, voted the most popular Australian composer in 2019's ABC Classic's Favourite Composer countdown. This piece was commissioned in memory of Jack Goldring foundation Dean of Law at UOW and District Court Judge. Also, featuring 'Nothing is Forever' by Matthew Hindson, Ann Carr-Boyd's lively 'Fandango', Moya Henderson's spiritual themes in 'The Dreaming: Utterly Sacred: In Honour of 40,000 Years'; Andrew Ford's evocative, sparkling 'Bright Shiners', and 'Blue Poles' (from The Manhattan Epiphanies); and the sublime and deeply moving 'Elegy in Memoriam Rupert Brooke' by Frederick Septimus Kelly. The APRA/AMCOS award winning ensemble will energise audiences with the unique sound of Australian music . Come and celebrate the music from our region.

The great theme of Love has inspired composers and performers throughout the ages, and this concert presents a broad selection of items sure to delight our audience. Through film music, popular songs, romantic originals and some offerings from the classical world, the band will explore a range of attitudes from the hopelessly sentimental through to the more cynical views of love in the age of social media. You may not agree that love is all we need...but where would we be without it?

Head to the 'Vintage Car Sunday' for a fantastic turnout of vintage cars, from end to end of historic St. Jude Street, Bowral at the free community event. Amenities available at Bradman Centre, fully accessible, plus a playground and park for the kids. Heaps of free street parking. Grab your brekkie and hot drinks from Bradman Cafe, located at world-famous Bradman Museum. This free event runs on the last Sunday of every month.
2021 Bowral Sculpture Prize

A call for all the artists to enter their amazing work for the 2021 Bowral Sculpture Prize. Entry forms for the competition are available here. First prize is $2,000 and the second prize is $500. Judge for the event will be Feyona van Stom. A Small Sculpture Prize of $300 is sponsored by The Sculptors Society. Prize presentation will take place on Saturday, February 27 at 4pm.
