With over 450 kids participating in gymnastic classes over school holidays, the sport is looking strong through COVID.

Along with the surging numbers, PCYC Southern Highlands have debuted their new club uniforms and the kids are loving them.
Southern Highland PCYC's club manager, Christian Keller said gymnastic's numbers did well during COVID.
"We've come back pretty strong from COVID," Keller said.
"That was surprising, but it's great to have the community support. We've had to obviously change the dynamics of our classes by reducing numbers and adhering to COVID restrictions."
Gymnastics is an excellent solo sport and as COVID has made things difficult for all sporting codes, it was a much sought after class during school holidays.
"Numbers have been steady throughout COVID and school holidays," Keller said.
"We couldn't increase numbers due to COVID restrictions, but we did have around 450 kids through the two weeks. Those numbers are down from last year, but not due to demand.
"We had people wanting to participate, but again, the restrictions we had to adhere to wouldn't allow us to take the bookings. It was great to see people wanting to participate, but we had to think of safety first."
With COIVD hot-spots popping up throughout NSW, even with school holidays done and dusted, there are still strict restrictions in place.
"We can't have a group bigger than 20," Keller said.
"We've had to reduce numbers in all classes. We still deliver great classes, but must adhere to the four square metre rule and social distancing.
"It's completely safe. We leave 15 minute intervals between classes so we can wipe down all equipment used in the previous class. It all has to be cleaned before each new class.
"Every child and parent has to check in and we test their temperature on arrival. A questionnaire is also given out asking if participants have been to any COVID hot-spot locations.
"We're doing everything we can to ensure that we remain COVID safe."
Debuting their new training outfits on their Facebook page, PCYC Southern Highlands said the new outfits will give kids the opportunity to feel they are a part of a team.
"The training gear was an idea generated at the end of 2019," Keller said.
"We thought it would be an excellent idea to have a training uniform not just for our training kids, but the recreational ones too.
"It's nice to have something that makes you feel like you're a part of a club.
"It's the same as a footy jersey, you wear that to training and we wanted to bring that to the club.
"So whenever anyone does gymnastics, they have a signature look.
"It's a nice new element where we want kids to feel unity, more involved and a part of the club."
