The man leading and teaching these young ones the way of the world game, coach Goran Todorovski, said the first moment of the game were a learning curve.
"They had a lot of fun after a confusing first few minutes on which way they had to run," Mr Todorovski said.
"They did really well. They listened to instruction and had a lot of fun. They also did what was asked in training and practiced. They scored a lot of goals which was very enjoyable."
With the kids experiencing the game for the first time, fundamentals and most importantly, fun is what coach Todorovski is hoping to instill.
"My goal for the team is very simple, one is running with the ball," Mr Todorovski said.
"Secondly, scoring a goal and having a celebration. Nothing too much more then that. That is the fun part of the game and that's what I want them to enjoy and practice the most."
Seeing the kids suit up in the mighty yellow for the Mittagong Football Club flooded Todorovski with memories of his playing days.
"To be honest, it was the first match and I think I enjoyed myself the most out of everyone," Mr Todorovski said.
"It brought back memories of playing soccer as a child and having my father watch.
"My son is also a part of the team and it's an honour to be able to coach and be a part of this team each week.
"It's a lot of fun."
