The Magic had been off the court for four months during COVID-19 restrictions and they only began training two weeks ago.
Moss Vale Magic Youth League Coach, Rick Davies said the team came out ready to play.
"The team came out firing in the first quarter and were ahead 29-15 at the first break," Davies said.
"Tristan Glenn and Josh Watts both hit eight points in the first quarter.
"The second quarter of the game the Magic increased their lead 50-29 at half time.
"Our import players from Shoalhaven, Kyle Leslie and Brayden Morris showed their quickness up the court and attacked the basket at every opportunity."
In the third quarter the Spiders cut back the Magics lead to 18 points 70-52 and Magic brothers Alex and Luke Davenport did well to control the rebounding at both ends of the court.
"The fourth quarter I had to change the defence structure to a zone and point guard Brad Frost controlled the tempo of the game," David said.
"It was was all Magic from then on and we got the excellent win."
Top scorers for the Magic were Kyle Leslie 25, Tristan Glenn 20 and Josh Watts 13.
"I was really pleased with the first game and all players played well," Davies said.
"We had 10 players on the scoreboard, but we need to work more on offensive structure especially getting through screens and taking on defence."
The Magic's next game will be at Ryde on Saturday, July 25 vs Inner West Bulls.
The Magic's first home game of the season will be on Saturday, August 1 vs Camden Valley Wildfire.
