On Saturday, July 11 at the Bowral Bowling Club, Stephen Della defeated Bob Crowley 31-15 to win the major singles title and become club champion.
Della was able to celebrate a easy victory over Crowley and this would not have come as a surprise to most bowls followers as he went into the final as a warm favourite.

As I had reiterated before the match, Della is a slow starter.
In a perfect start for Crowley who was spot on in his game plan he went to a 10-6 lead with some great draw shots. Della then started pushing himself and the final had a complete turn around.
It was some striking, sparkling form Della had and he won the next nine ends, piling on 14 shots to go to a 20-10 lead.
Crowley who had shone brightly in the early part of the match burned out quickly and had no answer to Della's range of shots.
Della was far the better player and on the 26th end scored four shots to claim the title by sixteen shots.
Della has now won the singles title four times and has put the spotlight on other players to dethrone him.
For runner up Crowley who provided some giant killing wins in the qualifying rounds, this match will only stimulate him to greater heights.
As being runner up in the major singles in itself is a massive achievement.
In recognition to the two finalists, this is a great achievement.
After waiting three months for the final to be played, owing to the coronavirus lock down, it was a fantastic affair.
