HSA technical director Nick D'Amore invited Illawarra juniors to take part in the Highlands-based program. He said the initiative's key aspect was to provide support for juniors during the COVID-19 pandemic.
"Some of them [juniors] are struggling, so this gives them that extra connection to assist them to get through it," D'Amore said.
"We wanted to be able to connect them with football again, so they're not going out in their back garden on their own. It also gives them a connection with local football as well."
