Newly recruited and former player Steve Talbot took to the Black's Facebook to address the loyal Bowral supporters.
"A week out from what was to be the start of our season we find ourselves in uncharted territory," Talbot said.
"Instead of putting the final touches on our match preparation, and priming ourselves to christen the new club house we are coming to terms with a far greater issue.
"The health and well-being of everyone involved with the Black's is our main priority. We have followed all directives handed down by Rugby Australia and Illawarra rugby.
"Until further notice we have cancelled all training and the season has been rescheduled to start on June, 27.
"The current situation will also put a significant strain on the club financially.
"We acknowledge and appreciate the support of our sponsors now more than ever. With that in mind we remind everyone to think of our sponsors and try and use their business when possible, "And tell them you are from Bowral Rugby."
"We are taking an attitude of "what can we do" not what can't we do.
"The coaches are working behind the scenes to put into place safe ways for our players to stay fit and continue to work on their individual skills. It's important we stay positive and use this time effectively.
"Please be patient and stay in touch, We will be far better off if we stick together and work through this.
"I know that when the players eventually take the field, and our valued supporters are enjoying the new club house it will all seem worthwhile."
