Riders taking the challenge will hail from:
- QLD
- Victoria
- Southern Highlands NSW
- South Coast NSW
- Sydney
- ACT
The Kosi Challenge began in 2013 with Rare Cancers Australia's co-founders Richard and Kate Vines embarking on a 'Parliament to Peak' walk from Parliament House Canberra to Mount Kosciuszko in an effort to raise awareness for rare and less common cancers.
Ride Director Zachary Hulm has been out training with Ride4Rare cyclists and enjoying their passion for training and fundraising.
"Rare Cancers Australia are excited not to just be traveling through the mountains but also supporting local business," Mr Hulm said.
"It's fantastic to be part of an event that promotes physical well-being and mental health as we do with Rare Cancers patients, carers and community."
Participating rider, Wayne White can't wait to ride the road.
"It's a really well organised event," Mr White said.
"It's great environment to be in with a feeling of accomplishment at the end. I feel excited and a bit better prepared than last year."
Nick Dyer and Nicholas Bray will also be participating.
"I'm feeling a little daunted by the distance," Dyer said.
"But it's for a good cause. Cancer is something that effects everyone either directly or indirectly".
"This is a great way to celebrate my 50th Birthday," Bray said.
"It's also a great way to give back to the community."
Riders will be welcomed to Jindabyne by Jindabyne Cycling Club.
The Rare Cancers Kosi Challenge will take place on Saturday, March 21.
