There were no heat, rain, smoke or air quality issues for players who have had an interrupted 2020 season far.
At Chevalier College we had the Girls Basketballers and our Cricketers finally managed to play a home game.
The Girls 1sts Basketball team started the day with a fast opening quarter and a powerful win against Barker College.
Starring in the 69-44 win were Georgina Mitchell, Summer Lewis and Alex Bull.
The 2nds Girls followed suit with a determined victory. Scores were tied for much of the game but a great finish from the Chev' girls ended in an 8 point win.
For the Chev' team Sophie Irvine top scored with 19 and Jenni Kracht and Teagan Mattick were the other scorers.
The Inter team consolidated a semi final spot with a good win over Redlands. Miranda Feely top scored for Chev' and Sienna Rossi also had a good game.
The Juniors were also on court early. The Junior B's went down against Redlands with Phoebe Leary Chev's best.
In the Junior A's the Chev Girls had a good win against the visiting Central Coast team. Annabelle Brennan and Emily Manning were Chev's best.
On a lush, green Main Oval the Chev cricketers bowled and fielded well with Will Preddey and Darcy Murchie the best of the bowlers.
The run chase was steady but the Chev boys ran out of batters with Nick Colgan the stalwart.
Unfortunately a 6 run loss means the Chev teams season has concluded.
Locally the Chev softballers were playing Oxley. The Juniors went down to a very good Oxley team.
The 1sts had to borrow couple of younger players who all stood up to the challenge in the local derby.
The Chev Girls finished up 12-10 victors in a very exciting match.
Special mentions to Heather Seach, Gabby Gillespie, Niamh Cockburn, and Charlotte Hooper.
For the teams on the road it was a mix of results for the Boys Basketballers and Girls Touch Footballers.
For some Chev' teams their season has now finished but for others, semi-finals beckon and the excitement of competition continues.
