On Sunday, November 24 at Bowral Bowling Club, three rounds of handicap singles were played with the match of the round being Bob Crowley defeating Dave Riddell 31-29.
After 20 ends Riddell exploring every shot in the book and had a 17-12 lead.
Riddell looked in control of the match and had every reason to think he would celebrate a win and with a 28-22 lead after 30 ends.
As victory looked certain for Riddell, Crowley was able to transform the match from then on scoring four shots on the 31st end and then getting three shots on the 33rd end to have the game locked at 29-29.
This effectively put Crowley back on track to take the match.
Crowley who is renowned for several come from behind wins as of late did it again scoring two shots on the 34th end to move into the next round with a two shot victory.
Josh Woodcock defeated Kevin Jones 31-20.
Jones led 14-5 after eight ends before Woodcock started on his journey to victory.
Playing great draw shots, Woodcock pulled away from Jones to have a eleven shot victory.
Paul Leverett defeated Mike Holmwood 31-18.
After 12 ends the match was very tight with scores 12-12.
From that moment, Leverett turned the match on its head and powered away to a 13 shot victory.
In the Southern Highlands Cup and Eric Plain trophy match which was played at Robertson, Bundanoon was spot on with their play and Bundanoon won the pairs 2-0.
Bundanoon was also successful in the triples winning 2-0. Robertson was successful in the fours 1-0.
This Saturday, Bundanoon will give a warm welcome to Bowral with the match starting at 1pm.
