Horton's Heroes bounced back this week with a solid 4-2 win over the Dolphins, in the A grade water polo competition at the Frensham pool.

The first quarter was tight, the only goal came from Horton's, John Jamieson. Dolphin's attack was being well controlled and the Heroes goalie, Cameron Butcher, was doing a great job.
Horton's Heroes put in two goals in the second quarter to lead 3-0 at half time. The Horton's Heroes defence was holding tight and the third period only yielded one goal, to the Horton's Heroes.
The 4-0 lead looked comfortable going into the final period. The Dolphin's to their credit never gave up and scored the final two goals of the match but it wasn't enough to reel in the Horton's Heroes.
The Sharks kept up their winning run with an 8-4 victory over the Polar Bears, in an entertaining match.
The Polar Bears were very competitive, they opened the scoring and made it clear that Sharks would have to work hard for their win. Sharks led 3-2 at the end of the first quarter and the second period was equally tight, with only a solitary goal, scored by Sharks.
The Sharks always looked in control but were surprised that the Polar Bears were able to stay within reach with a 4-2 halftime lead.
The Sharks third period put the issue beyond doubt, as they outscored the Bears 4-1, to establish a 8-3 lead, with a quarter to play. The Bears were the only scorers in the final period with a solitary goal and a final 8-4 score line was the result.
In B grade it was Horton's Heroes B who featured in the closest game of the evening, with a solitary goal, 7-6 win, over the Oxley Blue side, who were gallant in defeat.
Horton's Heroes established a 2-1 lead in the first quarter that was to prove to be a very important edge. Both teams scored twice in the second period, John Jamieson scoring the first of a double for the match and Noah Ford for Horton's Heroes and Max Davis-Rice scoring the first of a treble and Oliver Bragg the first of a double for Oxley Blue.
The Oxley Blue side leveled up the scores a number of times during the match at 2-2 early in the second period and twice at 5-5 and 6-6 in the final period, before Horton's Heroes, Alex Ta-me scored the winning goal with 1min 55seconds remaining.
Oxley Blue tried hard to lock the match up again in the last minute but their shots couldn't break the defence.
Oxley Gold scored a very impressive 6-2 win over the Smugglers.
The Oxley win was full of merit, as they came with a wet sail to run out winners. The first quarter was very tight with neither team being able to score.
Both teams managed two goals each leading up to halftime and the match looked as if it could go either way. Oxley Gold weren't about to let it go the Smugglers way, as they piled on three unanswered goals. This break was vital, the fourth quarter was again tight with Oxley Gold being the only scorers.
A great sign for Oxley Gold was that there were four different scorers, reflecting the depth in their side.
Polar Bears B had a good 6-1 win over the Dolphins.
The Polar Bears and the Dolphins were well matched in the general run of play but the Bears had their shooting arms working while the Dolphins were off the mark.
The Bears built their lead with 1-0 at the end of the first period, 4-0 at half time and 6-0 at the end of the third period. The dolphins were the solitary scorers in the last period.
The ladies again started the evening with a good game best and fairest were 3 pts Merlynne Wilson 2 pts Kathy Cupitt 1 pt Lauren.
