The Senior Rugby League Clubs of Bowral and Moss Vale held a special general meetings to vote on creating a new Southern Highlands Senior Rugby League Football Club.
This motion was approved, voted unanimously by all clubs.
The committees of each founding club will act as a steering committee for the new club until office bearers are appointed at the AGM in October.
The Senior clubs of Bowral and Moss Vale believe now is a great time to follow on the lead of the Junior Clubs in combining resources in forming the Highlands Storm Senior Club.
The overwhelming public support of the new junior club shows that the Highlands community is ready to get behind a single entity.
The colours, logo and basis of the constitution will be the same as the Junior model, ensuring uniformity for players from Under 6's to through to Grade.
As per previous media releases, this new club will not be based on any previous founding club biases, and is open to all players, volunteers and supporters from right across the Highlands.
The AGM for the Southern Highlands Senior Rugby League Football Club will be held at the Bowral Bowling Club on Tuesday 15th October at 6.30pm.
Members only will be eligible to attend and vote at the AGM. Membership forms will be available at the club from 6.00pm.
