Lesser in stature - but not heart - seven-year-old Ollie Lach-Newinsky is a promising batsman who saw out 11 innings in last year's Stage 1 competition without being dismissed once.
The Blues' softly spoken smallest player recently went eye-to-eye with the clubs and districts biggest player, only to discover a gentle giant and a mutual love of cricket.
Representing the senior and junior divisions of Bowral Blues Cricket Club, both lads have stepped up to encourage people to sign-up and play this season.
"I've been at the Blues for six seasons now and love the sense of camaraderie," David said.
"It's awesome getting out there with your friends and having fun on Saturday's. Come and sign up and play, no matter how good or out of form you might be, or even if you're new to the game."
Ollie said he was looking forward to hooking up with his team-mates from last season.
"I can't wait to play again," Ollie said. "It's really nice when you do something good on the field and your team-mates run in and congratulate you. It's a lot of fun and I just want to go out and play."

Equally excited about the new season is Ollie's mum Melissa.
"Ollie's team was so good last year. The club's coaching was amazing and the kid's just all bonded so well and had so much fun. It was so nice to watch week-in-week-out."
Bowral Blues Cricket Club Head Coach Brian Martin said registrations across the senior and junior divisions were looking good.
"People come to the Blues because we really look after our members," Brian said.
"Everyone's included and given a fair go and our qualified coaches do everything possible to make our players better people as well as better cricketers.
"We've had great competitive and social success across all our divisions in recent seasons and look forward to continuing that."
