Dave Elliot lived and breathed his role as president at Mittagong for nearly a decade, but the time has come and he is needed in other important parts of his life.
"I've got other priorities in my life right now," Elliot said.
"I've done nine years at the club and I've got to start looking after my wife and I's business. I'll be looking to make a clean break at the end of this season with the new president stepping up."
Having forged many friendships and bonds, that will be what is missed most by the now ex-president.
"All the champion people I've met at the club," Elliot said.
"It's a really great, family club. I've watched all the players grow up and go on to have families themselves and develop as players.
"I wanted to be a a good role model to them and hopefully they've taken some of the things I've passed on on-board.
"I'm going to miss watching and seeing all the boys."
Elliot is quite confident in the state that he's leaving the club and believes the new president will take the club into the future with safe hands.
"We've got the division of the media board up and running," Elliot said.
"It has taken longer than I had hoped, but I do feel like my nine years have been productive.
"This year we got a welfare officer called Barry Butterfield.
"That was a massive hit within the club. It really helped a lot of the boys who were struggling with life at the moment. They spoke with BB and the feedback we got from that was awesome. They all enjoyed speaking with him and that worked really well.
"But the club also needs fresh ideas and with Matt Aiken stepping up as president, he's got some great plans which I think will take the club to the next level."
Elliot's future is looking dedicated to his family and a bit of R&R.
"I'll be concentrating on the business that our family has," Elliot said.
"I'll also hopefully be looking to have some time away also."
