Winning teams from six different venues came together on the carpet with sides from Oak Flats, Windang, Berry, Sussex Inlet and Mollymook joined hosts Robertson to compete for the chance to play at the NSW State finals.
Cool and cloudy weather greeted the players but the clubs hospitality and roaring fire got the players warmed up for some great bowls with the teams representing Oak Flats and Sussex Inlet qualifying for the state finals following strong performances.
Oak Flats won all five games, with the second qualifier coming down to the last game of the day with Sussex Inlet defeating Club Windang.
After both sides had three wins from their first four games, to see the Sussex Inlet club through to the state finals.
Bowlers are encouraged to return to Robertson in November this year for the famous Potato Triples, as part of the clubs 70th anniversary. To get your team involved email rbclub@bigpond.com.
