Jimmy "The Jet" Denman captained the stage two Bowral Thunder to a Grand Final win last season and this season is stepping up into stage three.
With this step up, The Jet will be taking on a much more difficult competition and knows he needs to bring his A-game.
"I'll be playing at a higher level of cricket against higher standard of opposition," Denman said.
"I've always played in the backyard and living next to Bradman Oval, I really wanted to play for Bowral so I'm really looking forward to next season."
Living so close to the hollowed turf of Bradman Oval, it was inevitable that Denman would play cricket. He loves the camaraderie of the game and he can't wait to accomplish his checklist for this season.
"Cricket is a great team sport and allows me to spend more time with my mates," Denman said.
"It's also great to get a win with the team and hitting a six feels really good. I play the game for fun, but this season I want to improve as a player against a higher standard of competition and I want to meet new people.
"I also want to score more runs than last year. Last season I made 260, I'd like to break my record and I want to take a wicket."
